About Mother Teresa Outreach

Moved by the events of Hurricane Katrina and inspired by Mother Teresa's life of Christian service, the Mother Teresa Outreach has been serving the community from Murrysville to Biloxi and beyond since September 2005.

Mother Teresa Outreach is an organization formed by concerned individuals who wish to support those in our community who are currently experiencing a hardship — whether emotionally, spiritually, physically, or financially. Mother Teresa Outreach is a ministry sponsored by Mother of Sorrows Parish and is supported and funded by the parishioners.

It is the hope of the volunteers of the Mother Teresa Outreach Ministry that our neighbors will experience God’s love through our time together. As members of the one family of God, we are important to one another. The well-being of each of our neighbors is very important to us.

Those involved in the ministry promise to do everything in their power to be as supportive as possible through prayer, friendship and providing assistance in finding appropriate resources.

A Thank You to the Parish

A Haven In A Storm

People need a Haven, a place they can run to;   A place that gives its shelter when storms begin to brew.

Mother Teresa Ministries have hearts that understand and when we needed help we found, they reached a helping hand.

We met someone special and she was a part  of such a loving ministry with such a gracious heart.

People need a Haven a place where they can go.   Mother Teresa Ministries helps more than they might know.

Our gratitude continues, for we had witness of a ministry that shows God’s care and helps with Godlike love.

Mother Teresa Outreach Ministry is home to many different programs including:
