James F. Toto, 74
of Murrysville, died Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011, of Leukemia. He was born Nov. 25, 1937, in New York City, son of the late Philip and Rose Mary Ferme Toto. He grew up in the Bronx and lived on Long Island for 29 years. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of Mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville. James was a General Motors employee for 17 years and then an automobile salesman for the next 20 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Toto. James is survived by his wife, Maureen Maher Toto; two sons, James (Pamela) Toto, of Murrysville, and Christian (Julie) Toto, of Denver, Colo.; and he was the proud grandfather of Drake, Piper, Elijah and Benjamin. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, at Mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville. Joseph Thomas Gentile, 18
of Murrysville, died Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born Dec. 8, 1992, in Denver, Colo., a son of Joseph P. Gentile, of Oakmont, and Mary Samantha (Davis) Gentile, of Murrysville. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Thomas Davis; and paternal grandmother, Leona Gentile. Joseph was a freshman at Westmoreland County Community College and a 2011 graduate of Franklin Regional High School. He enjoyed spending time with his many friends, family and his beloved dog, Juliet. Besides his parents, survivors include his three sisters, Amanda, Patrice and Gabriella Gentile; maternal grandmother, Peggy Davis, of Florida; paternal grandfather, Joseph Gentile, of Lower Burrell; aunt, Beth Johnston, of Florida; uncle, Thomas (Vicki) Davis, of Illinois; aunts, Alicia (Vince) Gentile-DiCarolis, of New Kensington, and Jacqui (Chris) Burford, of Delmont; his girlfriend, Kelli; and many friends and cousins. Thelma "Dolly" Perry, 81
of Murrysville, formerly of Derry, died Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011. She is survived by her beloved sister, Mary R. Perry, of Murrysville, and many loving cousins. Born in (Millwood) Derry, Thelma was the daughter of the late Philip and Rose (Gennaro) Perry. Her parents operated Perry's Tavern and General Store in Millwood for 30 years. Prior to moving to Murrysville in 1957, Thelma was a member and officer of the Derry Business and Professional Women's Club and the Catholic Daughters of America, St. Court Ann Marie. She also belonged to several social clubs and the Eastgate Bowling League. Thelma graduated from the Duffs Business College in 1949 and retired from the National Theatre Company in 1989. Louis "Hank" Zegarelli, 83
of Murrysville, battled Leukemia, and died on Tuesday, November 22, 2011. Beloved husband of the late Rita (Tolomeo); father of Rocco (Melissa) Zegarelli, Sandra (Ron) Saunders, Dino Zegarelli, and the late Susan (surviving Michael) Ruane; proud grandfather of nine and great-grandfather of six; brother of Arnold and the late Martin and Robert Zegarelli; son of Erasmo Antonio and Angelina Zegarelli. Louis was a drill instructor in the United States Marine Corps., an executive director of delicatessens for Giant Eagle Grocery Markets for 22 years, and a senior business consultant for Gia Russa Foods for the last 15 years of his life. Robin S. Steck, 54
of Murrysville, died Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011. She was born June 11, 1957, in Monessen, daughter of Gary and Evelyn (Vlasic) Sessi, of Calabash, N.C. She was a special education teacher for 32 years with the Westmoreland Intermediate Unit. Robin loved teaching special needs children and she also loved to play golf, was a dedicated gardener and always had a craft project underway. She was a member of Mother of Sorrows Church and was a union representative for the WIUEA and also a member of the PSEA and NRA. In addition to her parents, Robin is survived by her husband, Charles A. Steck; a son, Michael, of Pittsburgh; a daughter, Sarah Hurney (Tim), of Penn Township; a grandson, Brendan; her twin sister, Renee December (Mike), of Calabash, N.C.; her mother-in-law, Margaret M. Steck, of Latrobe; a sister-in-law, Lisa Helsel, of Bloomsburg; and two nieces, Lizzie and Maggie. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the HART FUNERAL HOME INC., Murrysville. Rosaline M. Donnelly, 80
of Murrysville, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011, in the loving presence of her four children, Martin Donnelly (Alison), of Chicago, Ill., Marlene Donnelly (Benjamin Ellis), of Brooklyn, N.Y., Michelle Donnelly, of Murrysville, and Kathleen Donnelly, of Pittsburgh. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Anna, Imogene, Robert and Margaret, of Brooklyn, N.Y.; sister, Martha Wise (William), of New Wilmington; sister-in-law, Cecelia Zuzich, of Level Green; nieces and nephews, Brigette Scala (Raymond) and their son, Ray, of New Castle, Chad Wise (Summer), of New Wilmington, Joseph Zuzich (Donna), of Level Green, Mark Zuzich, of Level Green, and Keith Zuzich, of Trafford. Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Daniel Donnelly in 1963; parents, Marko and Anna Zuzich; and brother, Joseph Zuzich. She was born Feb, 24, 1931, and attended Penn Joint High School and Robert Morris Business School and served in the Navy. She was her high school class valedictorian and the first woman in the Navy to be trained as an electronics technician. She worked as a secretary at the Penn Township High School and Ellson Equipment Co. in Murrysville. Rose was active in her community, volunteering with Penn Township's Rescue Six for many years and serving as a religion teacher at St. Barbara's Catholic Church. Rose had a great love for animals and the Earth. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the HART FUNERAL HOME INC., Murrysville. Catherine A. (Gruber) McLaughlin, 94
of Murrysville, formerly of Franklin Park, died Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011. She was the wife of the late George F. McLaughlin; loving mother of Thomas G. (Eloise), of Spencer, W.Va., and James J. (Susan), of Murrysville; dear grandmother of Paul, Michael, Jennifer and Sean; great-grandmother of Romeo, Ava and Sophia; sister of the late Joseph, Lillian, John, Dorothy, Jean, Harry, Mary Ann and Robert; also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews. Catherine was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Glenfield, past president and long-term member of the Franklin Park Women's Club, member of the Franklin Park Garden Club and member of Keenagers (Little Hill United Methodist Church). She enjoyed gardening, hosting family dinners, cooking, canning and reading. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Hwy., North Hills. Catherine R. Thomas, 84
of Export, died Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011, at her home. She was born Oct. 16, 1927, in Rankin, daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine Umolac Petrina. She was a retired secretary for the Bettis Atomic Power Plant with more than 25 years of service and a member of the Mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rudy J. Thomas, in 2000. Catherine is survived by two sisters, Helen Grills, of Trafford, and Betty Howard, of Irwin; a brother, Joseph P. Petrina, of Trafford; and 19 nieces and nephews. No visitation. A service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday in the chapel of the Good Shepherd Cemetery, Monroeville.

Elsie M. Cima, 97
of Mt. Lebanon, formerly of Monroeville and Forest Hills, died Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011. She was born Feb. 11, 1914, in Italy, a daughter of the late Julius and Marietta Iagnemma DelCotto. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Cima in 1993; two brothers, Albert DelCotto and Ernie Dell; and two sisters, Christine Pascal and Lena Demase. Elsie is survived by two daughters, Gloria Wilson, of Mt. Lebanon, and Linda Cima, of Scott Township; a son, Bill (Saundra) Cima, of San Diego, Calif.; four grandchildren, Patrice, Stacy, Jaynine and Collin; five great-grandchildren, Cora, Claire, Hudson, Wilson and William; and a brother, Armand (Gerry) DelCotto, of Monroeville. Louise V. Burlas, 83
of Murrysville, died Monday, Oct. 31, 2011, in the Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg. She was born Nov. 16, 1927, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late James and Margaret Nahr Vinnacombe. She was a member of the Mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville, and was preceded in death by her husband, Donald J. Burlas in 2009; a granddaughter, Beth Ann Webb; and a sister, Marvel Somple. Louise is survived by two daughters, Bonnie (Rich) McDade, of Murrysville, and Doni Bell, of Harrison City; two grandchildren, Matt (Carla) Bell and Darli Walker; and two great-grandchildren, Andrew Bell and A.J. Robyn A. George, 33
of Murrysville, died Friday, Oct. 21, 2011, as a result of injuries sustained in a one-vehicle accident in Monroeville. Born Aug. 22, 1978, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Robert W. George and Janet (Suppa) George, of Murrysville. She was a member of Mother of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church in Murrysville. Robyn was manager of the bar at the Fox Chapel Yacht Club. She also obtained her mariner's license through the Coast Guard to work on luxury liners. Her career in the hospitality industry and her passion for travel took her to many countries and islands in the Caribbean and in Europe. She was a 1996 graduate of Kiski Area High School and a 2002 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in business administration. She had a passion for the Pittsburgh Steelers, bowling, shopping, working on her computer and running with her dog, Porky. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her maternal grandmother, Antoinette "Toni" (DiBiase) Suppa, of Monessen; her brother, Ryan J. George (Krista), of Leechburg; two aunts, Mary Jo (Ronald) Panepinto, of Monessen, and Sue Anne DeGrand (Richard), of Ann Arbor, Mich.; an uncle, Ronald L. George (Sally), of Lower Burrell; her boyfriend, David Marshall, in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; several cousins; and her many friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, James Suppa; and by her paternal grandparents, Howard W. "Pete" and Edith L. (Ray) George. Walter A. Johnson, 83
of Murrysville, died Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011. He was born June 28, 1928, in Pittsburgh. He was a son of the late Harold and Mary McTigue Johnson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Johnson. Walter was a Korean War veteran, serving in the Army. Prior to retirement, he worked for the Army Corps of Engineers as a budget analyst. Walter is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Anderson Johnson; and a loving daughter, Colleen Johnson. Joan F. Pechar, 62
of Murrysville, died Monday, Oct. 3, 2011, at her home. She was born Oct. 22, 1948, in Pittsburgh. She was a member of Mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville, and was a Realtor in the Penn Hills, Murrysville and Monroeville areas for more than 20 years. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas E. LoDolce in 2010. Joan is survived by her husband, Fred A. Pechar II; a daughter, Trisha (Shawn) Trautman, of Charlotte, N.C.; a son, Tommy (Jennifer) Pechar, of Athens, Ga.; three grandchildren, Tyler, Alex and Quinn; a sister, Judith (Dennis) Chakey, of Murrysville; a brother, Timothy LoDolce, of Truckee, Calif.; several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews. Richard C. "Dick" Porta, 80
of Murrysville, died peacefully Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011. He was born July 23, 1931, in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of the late Paul and Hilda Soissong Porta. Dick graduated from Duquesne University where he earned his degree in business and was employed at Westinghouse for most of his career until retirement. He was a member of Mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville, and his devotion to his faith was strong. His greatest joy was his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and John Porta. Dick is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Dolores "Doe" Porta; three daughters, Stacey (Jim) Davis, of Bethel Park, Lynn (Mark) Creevey, of Beaverton, Ore., and Julie, of Murrysville; grandchildren, Alex, Lindsay, Mariah and Audrey; a sister, Liz Herbst, of Hickory; a brother-in-law, Ed Tokarski, of Delmont; a sister-in-law, Susan Tokarski, of Bridgeville; and numerous cousins. Ruby F. Sassano Pope
of Murrysville, died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011. For 27 years, she worked as a fitness consultant with Bally's Total Fitness in Penn Hills. Ruby was born in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Alexander and Mary Dileo Sassano. Besides her parents, Ruby was predeceased by her beloved husband, Albert Pope; and a daughter, Terri Slogan. She is survived by her loving family: daughters, Sharon Panaia and her husband, Matt, of Delmont, Cindy Demharter, of Plum, and Michelle Day, of Plum; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lois Jean Fisher, of Swissvale. Lois J. Fedorka, 73
of Murrysville, died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011, in the Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville. Lois was born April 26, 1938, in Braddock, the daughter of the late Edward and Jennie Shawley Kring. Prior to retirement, Lois was a customer service representative for TWA Airlines and was a member of the Mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville. Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Peter E. Fedorka, in 1992; and a brother, Fred Kring. She is survived by her brother, William Kring, of Murrysville; an aunt, Violet Shawley, of Trafford; and six cousins. Marie Masciantonio Sirianni, 72
of Murrysville, formerly of Jeannette, passed away Monday, Aug. 22, 2011, in Cedars Community Hospice Center, Monroeville. She was born March 7, 1939, in Jeannette, a daughter of the late Tony and Fannie Williams Masciantonio. Marie was a lifelong resident of Jeannette and a member of the Jeannette High School Class of 1956. She was a former member of Ascension Church, Jeannette, and a member of Mother of Sorrows Church in Murrysville. Prior to her retirement in 2005, Marie was employed as a sales associate by Macy's (formerly Horne's and Lazarus) Department Store in Greensburg, and she also did volunteer work for Meals on Wheels in Westmoreland and Allegheny counties. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, David Massey. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Nick Sirianni; daughters, Anita Sirianni, of Cave Creek, Ariz., and Nicole Sirianni, of Crystal Lake, Ill., sons, Tony Sirianni and wife, Holli, of New Hope, and Mark Sirianni and wife, Dana, of Corona, Calif.; grandchildren, Suzanne and Anna, of New Hope, and Sydney, of Crystal Lake, Ill.; and a brother, Anthony Masciantonio and wife, Barbara, of Johnstown. Patricia M. Geiser, 78
of Murrysville, died Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011. She was born Nov. 12, 1932, in Buffalo, N.Y. She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Emma and Victor Cyr; and a sister, Jean Fishburn. She was a member of Mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville, and the Murrysville Garden Club. She was involved with a number of choral groups in Pennsylvania, Connecticut and North Carolina. Patricia is survived by her husband, Kenneth W. Geiser; a son, Christopher (Tracy) Geiser, of Southview, Pa.; and five nieces and nephews. Jessica M. (Brindle) Holm, 35
of Murrysville, formerly of Derry, passed away peacefully Monday, Aug. 15, 2011, in Excela Health Latrobe Hospital, with her devoted family by her side. She was born Aug. 24, 1975, in Latrobe, the beloved daughter of David and Louise (Kahl) Brindle, of Derry. Jessica was a loving wife, mother, daughter and friend. She especially loved being with her kids, and she enjoyed cooking and nursing. She was employed by HealthSouth Hospital of Pittsburgh, Monroeville, as a nurse and she taught nursing at the Boyce campus of the Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC). She was a member of Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, Murrysville. Jessica will be deeply missed and is survived by her loving family; beloved husband of 12 years, David Holm; children, Elias, Owen, Benjamin and Aidah Holm, all at home; father and mother, David and Louise; brother, Matthew Brindle and his wife, Allison Auger, of Carlisle; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard and Patricia Holm, of Penn Hills; sister-in-law, Michele Zula and her husband, Richard Zula, of North Huntingdon; a number of nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. of Penn Hills, died peacefully Sunday, June 12, 2011. She was born Jan. 1, 1927, in McKees Rocks. She was the daughter of the late Alfred and Palma Urbano Calorie. In addition to her parents, Palma was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter Maciejewski, in 1991; two brothers, Alfred and Anthony Calorie; and four sisters, Louise Leo, Rose Morris, Ann Feiertag and Christine Colangelo. Palma enjoyed flower arranging, Italian cooking, socializing and, most of all, spending time with her two grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She is survived by a daughter, Susan (Robert) Cardillo, of Murrysville; grandchildren, Anthony and Shelby Cardillo; two brothers, Guy and Frank Calorie; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was the beloved husband of Rosemary (Lynch) Vogel; loving father of Kimberly (Nick) Lamanna and Corey Schlemmer; brother of Mary (late William) Limpert, Patricia (Art) Chiodo, Peggy (Tony) Sunseri, Gerri (late Geoffrey) Rigg and the late Larry (surviving spouse, Rose) Vogel; also survived by five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was a Vietnam War Army veteran and a policeman/detective for the City of Pittsburgh for more than 20 years. He was an avid golfer and a wonderful amateur artist. Helen R. (Zeglin) Robel, 88
of Murrysville, died Thursday, May 12, 2011. She was born Feb. 22, 1923, in Mammoth, a daughter of the late Frank and Mary Komperda Zeglin. She was a graduate of the Frick Hospital in Mt. Pleasant and was a registered nurse at the West Penn Hospital for more than 40 years. She was a Sacristan and Eucharistic Minister at the Mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville, a member of the Christian Mothers of the church and also belonged to the 3rd Order of the Carmelites of Latrobe and belonged to the Legions of Mary Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by seven brothers, Fred, Stanley, John, Edward, Paul, Walter and Chester Zeglin; and a sister, Louise Bilik. Helen is survived by a sister, Bernice Moore, of Latrobe; brother, Leonard (Grace) Zeglin, of Mammoth; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday, May 14, 2011, in the Mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville. Interment followed in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant Township. The family would like to thank all the employees at the Marquis House in Uniontown, especially Robin, Joseph and Dana and all the employees that made Helen comfortable. She loved them all. of Murrysville, died Friday, April 29, 2011. Known as "Nonna" to many, she was born Aug. 11, 1923, in Naples, Italy, daughter of the late Adolfo and Maria (Tocco) Pascarella. She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Iaderosa; two sons, Michael and Sam Iaderosa; and three brothers, Alfonso, Eduardo and Gianni Pascarella. She is survived by a son, Adolph (Celeste) Iaderosa, of the North Hills; a daughter, Genevieve (Robert) Cassella, of Murrysville; four grandchildren, Christine (James) Ewing, Bobby, Jonathan and Laura; two great-grandchildren, Joseph and Emily; a brother, Raffaele Pascarella, of Italy; and many nieces and nephews in Italy and New York. Theodore S. "Ted" Stahurski, 90
of Murrysville, formerly of Swissvale, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at home, surrounded by his loving and devoted family. He was born Nov. 3, 1920, in McKeesport, son of the late Stanley and Stella Krol Stahurski. Ted is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Topolosky Stahurski, to whom he was married 63 years; devoted father of Rita Uziel and her husband, Bob, of Murrysville, Alan Stahurski and his wife, Florence, of Murrysville, and the late David Stahurski Sr.; cherished granddad of Allison, Brad, Scott, Mark, David Jr. and Danny; great-grandchildren, Luke and Joey; and a daughter-in-law, Valerie Stahurski, of Murrysville. Ted was retired from Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory in West Mifflin, where he worked in security for 33 years. He was a proud veteran of the Marines, serving in the Pacific Theater during World War II. Ted was one in a million and was the true epitome of the word Father. His family always came fist and he had a love for them that was perpetual and unconditional. He expressed that love in words and actions. He taught his children by example how to love their families as he loved his. Ted has left us now to be with his friends and family that preceded him, but the fond memories and the happy times we shared with him will sustain us until we are together again. of Murrysville, died Monday, April 4, 2011. He was born July 25, 1941, in Saginaw, Mich., a son of Leo and Helen Lewandowski Ciaramitaro, of Saginaw, Mich. He was a graduate of the University of Michigan with a degree in Engineering Physics and was a engineer for Westinghouse for more than 46 years. He was a member of Mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville, a supporter and member of the Boy Scouts of America and a member of the Acoustical Society of America. Daniel is survived by his faithful parents, Larry and Janice McKee; and by his steadfast family, Jeffrey, Peter and Sommer, Michael, Ryan and Tracy and Helen, Emily and Andrew Cannon. Daniel was loved unconditionally by his nieces and nephews, Moriah, Brooke, Jacob, Cora, Micah, Julia, Kenna, Brennen, Kate and Collin. Stephen E. Kosic, 93
of Murrysville, died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011. He was born Jan. 12, 1918, in Graceton, a son of the late Ivan and Ann Stulac Kosic. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a POW. He was a postal clerk for the Postal Service in Pittsburgh with 31 years of service and he was a member of the Mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville, and an usher for many years. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Smicklo, Barbara Orr and Ann Kaminski; and two brothers, John and Walter Kosic. Stephen is survived by his wife, Catherine Uhrin Kosic; two sons, Robert T. (Nancy) Kosic, of Export, and Gerald J. (Deborah) Kosic, of Jeannette; two granddaughters, Nicole (Serban) Sida and Annette (Brian) Sabo; three great-grandchildren, Daphne Sabo, Shae Sida and Camden Sabo; and a sister, Mildred Davis, of Homer City. Phyllis A. Szejk
of Murrysville, died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, with her family and friends by her side. We lost our selfless and loving mother to breast cancer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted; father, Roy Stitt; mother, Caroline McLean Stitt; the aunt who raised her, Lib (Stitt) Michaels; and step-mother, Lillian Stitt. Phyllis is survived by her children, Leslie Szejk, of Potomac, Md., Paul Michael (Sherry) Szejk, of Virginia Beach, Va., Lauren Sue McAndrews, of McCandless Township, Chris Szejk, of Ft. Bragg, Calif., and Carrie (Jimmy) Keane, of Milton, Del.; grandchildren, Emily Rose and Benton Szejk and Kelley, Dot and Murphy McAndrews; eight grand dogs and seven grand chickens. She is also survived by her "second family," Ray and Sandy Moore; several cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. She graduated from New Kensington High School and West Penn School of Nursing. She spent most of her life raising her children and caring for family members. Phyllis was a volunteer for the Murrysville Meals on Wheels, played in various card clubs and was an avid backyard bird watcher. of Monroeville, formerly of Plum Boro, died Tuesday, January 4, 2011. He was born January 11, 1931 in Pittsburgh to the late John and Amelia Michels. Husband of 55 years to Mary E. Doyle Michels. After graduating from Central Catholic High School, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. An entrepreneur, he established and was president of Airwick Professional Products (formally Airkem). Mr. Michels served for 21 years on the Plum Borough School District Board of Directors. He was active throughout his life in the Catholic Church, most recently at Mother of Sorrows Catholic parish. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his five children: Sandra (Richard) Oskin, Lynn (John) DeSimone, Beth (Leonard) Youngo, Thomas (Lisa) Michels, Jr. and Daniel (Tara) Michels; grandchildren: Richard (Jessica) Oskin, Matthew Oskin, Stefanie (Christopher) Ruane, J. John retired from Westinghouse Electric Co. with more than 40 years of service. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the Army. He was a member of Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, Murrysville, and its chapter of the Knights of Columbus, the Trafford American Legion Post 331, and was an avid golfer and a founding member of the Westinghouse Golf League. John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. John was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret V. Saulsbury Matura, in 1979; a brother, Andrew Matura; and two sisters, Ann Holko and Mary Stetz. formerly of Murrysville, died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010. He was born Jan. 27, 1935, in Homewood, son of the late Marie and Earl Watson, of Murrysville. A devoted and hardworking husband and father, he is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Ann; his eight children, Lori, Susan, Kathleen, Steven, Patricia, Michael, Donald Jr. and Jonathan; 15 grandchildren; and his siblings, Robert, Adele, Raymond and Carol. Thomas E. LoDolce, 91
of Penn Hills, died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010. He was born Sept. 26, 1919, in Braddock, a son of the late Samuel and Frances Pusateria LoDolce. He was a member of the Mother Of Sorrows Church, Murrysville and served in the Army during World War II. Tom LoDolce was the owner and director of the LoDolce Academy of Real Estate in Monroeville and taught there for more than 30 years. His mix of passion and conviction in his teaching, coupled with his expert knowledge of his trade, did nothing less than help his students succeed, He got his real estate license after returning home from World War II military service and for the next 27 years, he worked in real estate sales, then as a mortgage broker and then was employed by a relocation company. With a pilot's license, he traveled extensively at times, meeting clients across the country. He then began his teaching career and never looked back. He has taught thousands of real estate students, as well as agents over the years in the Pittsburgh area. Tom was not only a real estate entrepreneur and an amazing teacher, he was also a beloved member of his family. His unending zest for life and love for his family was evident in all he accomplished. He will live on in many ways and will always be missed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, August LoDolce. Thomas is survived by two daughters, Judith (Dennis) Chakey and Joan (Fred) Pechar, both of Murrysville; a son, Timothy LoDolce, of Truekee, Calif.; five grandchildren, Cheryle, Michele, Trisha, Thomas and Travis; and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Stefan and Michael and a sister, Anne. Marge is survived by her husband, Raymond J. Kathryn C. "Kitty" Izzo, 76
of Murrysville, wife, mother, grandmother, clubwoman, and nurse, passed away peacefully at William Penn Care Center, Penn Township, on Monday, Nov. 8, 2010. The mother of four and grandmother of 10 was born in Philadelphia, then moved to Pittsburgh shortly thereafter with her parents. She was 76. Kitty was a 1952 graduate of Ursuline Academy. In 1955, after graduating from St. Margaret Hospital School of Nursing, she married Lt. Carl P. Izzo, who was on active duty with the Air Force at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Their first child, Carl P. Izzo Jr., was born at the base hospital. The family returned to the Pittsburgh area in 1957, where her husband was employed as a scientist at PPG Industries Research Labs and later at Westinghouse Research Labs. Kitty's daughters, Cynthia, Sandra and Linda, were born in Pittsburgh. For several years, Kitty was a member of the Rosedale Junior Women's Club, becoming its president in 1968. The club was famous for its charitable and community activities which she enjoyed. Later she became the junior director of the Allegheny County Women's Clubs. She was also active in the PTA and Girl Scouts. In 1972, when her children were entering college, she decided to get a job to help defray the expenses. With her RN license in hand she went job hunting and was immediately hired by Montefiore Hospital to work as a medical/surgical nurse. After three years, she was recruited by Magee-Womens Hospital to work in its nursery, where she spent 10 years in the nursery with the mothers and their new babies. She really loved that job. After leaving the nursing profession, Kitty pursued her hobbies, knitting, gourmet cooking and collecting knitting and cook books. Her home in Murrysville had a library filled with these books from all over the world. In addition to her husband, Carl P. Izzo Sr., she is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Atterbury and husband, Doug, of Johnstown, Sandra Rudisill and husband, Jim, of Monroeville, and Linda DeFrancesco and husband, Bobby, of Greensburg; and her grandchildren, Emily, Katie and Carl P. Izzo III, Margaret, Christina and Elizabeth Atterbury, James Jr. and Jessica Rudisill, and Robert and Nicholas DeFrancesco. She was preceded in death by her parents, John C. Campbell Sr. and Dorathy R. Campbell; a brother, John C. Campbell Jr.; and a son, Carl P. Izzo Jr. Relatives and friends celebrated the life at the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC. in Greensburg. A funeral Mass was celebrated at Mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville. Entombment followed in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum.

Pearl Ehrlich, 99

of Murrysville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010. She was born Sept. 24, 1911, in Mt. Pleasant, a daughter of the late Julius and Victoria Chesla Kaczynski. In addition to her parents, Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard, in 1985; a granddaughter, Corinne Marie Alexander; and a great-grandson, Alan Victor Colamarino. Pearl loved and embraced her Catholic faith as a member of Mother of Sorrows Church. She is survived by two daughters, Katherine Alexander (Joseph), of Murrysville, and Bernice Colamarino, of Monroeville; grandchildren, Ray, Greg (Stacey), Joe (Monica), Cindy (Dave) and Dave (Laura); great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Kylie, Joseph IV, Natasha, Emily, Aleksandra, Bella, Brandi, Conner and Grant; and a sister, Josephine Kaczynski, of Mt. Michael L. Hammond, 50
of Murrysville, passed away peacefully Monday, Sept. 27, 2010. He was born Jan. 7, 1960, in New Castle, a son of the late Robert L. and Anna Jane Orlando Hammond. He was a banker with 23 years of service at PNC and most recently was senior vice president for more than three years with TriState Capital Bank, Pittsburgh. He was a member and lector of the Mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville and served on the finance council of the church. He was a coach for more than 10 years for the FRAA and served on the board for a few years. He also served as a coach for MASA for a few years and had served on the board of the Twelve Oaks Neighborhood Association. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Lorraine Pysnik Hammond; a daughter, Rebecca Hammond, of Arlington, Va.; a son, Michael J. Hammond, of Murrysville; a sister, Traci Lynn Hammond, of Greensboro, Pa.; and a brother, Robert A. Hammond, of New Castle. Visitation took place at the HART FUNERAL HOME INC., Murrysville. Kathleen (Kay) Peyer, 88
of Murrysville, died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010. She was born May 21, 1922, in North Braddock, daughter of the late Fred P. and Anna Jane (Tipping) Alger. She was a licensed practical nurse for Magee Hospital for many years, a charter member of Mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville, a member of the Ladies Guild of the church and a charter member of the Murrysville Garden Club. She was a member of AARP and a volunteer for the Thrift Shop, in Export. She was an avid hunter, had a lifelong love of flowers and spent 28 winters in Florida with her husband, "Gus". She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, William "Gus" Peyer; and two sisters, Theresa Gross and Peggy Harkness. Kay is survived by a daughter, Cassandra "Cassi" Peyer and her husband, Wayne Eicker, of Murrysville; a sister, Carol Jane Full, of North Springfield, Va.; one niece and three nephews. Kathleen Pujol, 45

of Murrysville, died on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010, in her home with her husband and son at her side after a tenacious battle with lymphoma. Kathy married Raymond Pujol in 1993 and together they raised their beautiful son, Cley. Kathy was an intellectual property paralegal at Pepper Hamilton for 11 years and previously worked at Papernick & Gefsky. She graduated from Robert Morris College with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Kathy was an avid runner who completed three marathons. She also played tennis, softball and cycled. She was a friend and advocate to everyone who crossed her path. She loved her generous and kind Barberry Court neighbors and served on her neighborhood association board. She had also been active with the Franklin Area Midget Football Association. She was the daughter of John and the late Marie Hooper; and the stepdaughter of Carole Hooper. She is also survived by her bother, Jim Hooper (Janene); her sisters, Sister Mary Andrew (Aileen Hooper), Trish Hooper (Julian Neiser) and Jo Anne Concannon (Bryan); and nieces and nephews, Bryan, Ashley, Rebecca, Andy and Christopher Pujol, Melanie and Alex Hooper and Ryan and Caitlin Concannon. She is also survived by numerous step-siblings, nieces and nephews. Joseph R. Scaramuzzi, 68
of Murrysville, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, Monday, July 26, 2010. He was born in Braddock, son of the late Alex and Anna (Margiotti) Scaramuzzi. Prior to retirement, Joseph was a stone mason for 50 years. He was a member of the Local 33 Brick Layers and Allied Craft Workers. He was also an avid deer hunter and a member of the Mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville. He is survived by his loving wife, Marcia (Sauers) Scaramuzzi; also survived by two daughters, Denise (Mark) Snodgrass, of Wichita, Kan., and Gina Scaramuzzi, of Monroeville; three grandchildren, Jade Jordan, Kristina and Nicholas Snodgrass; two brothers, Ralph (Debbie) Scaramuzzi, of North Huntingdon, and Carmine (Diane) Scaramuzzo, of North Huntingdon; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Laura, Alex, Mark, Donald, David and Danny. Mary M. (Kuznik) Kohosek, 93
of Export, died Thursday, July 22, 2010, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born Aug. 1, 1916, in Franklin Township, a daughter of the late Frank and Frances Kuznik. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John A. Kohosek; a daughter, Betty Marsiglio; a sister, Ann Evosevich; and four brothers, Frank, Tom, Rudolph and Louis Kuznik. Mary was a member of Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church and the Murrysville Senior Center. She enjoyed crocheting afghans for her grandchildren, bingo and watching baseball and Jeopardy on television. Mary mostly enjoyed spending time with her family and her home was always open to friends and family members who came by to visit. She is survived by her loving children, John W. of Carlisle, Ohio, formerly of North Braddock, died Saturday, June 5, 2010. She was born July 7, 1926, in Rankin, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Irene (Kramer) Schoming. Mary Jean was a graduate of the Mercy School of Nursing, class of 1947, received a BSN from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, class of 1969, and a master's from the University of Pittsburgh. She was an instructor at the former Braddock and South Side Schools of Nursing. Pete Zupetic, 68
of Murrysville, surrounded by his loving family, joined the Lord Tuesday, June 1, 2010, in Montefiore Hospital, Pittsburgh, after an extended illness. He was born May 3, 1942, in Homestead, son of the late Peter G. Sr. and Mary Vargo Zupetic. Pete worked as a laboratory technician for Westinghouse, most recently in Churchill. He was a loving and devoted father, an eagle scout and often a sports and activities driver. He carried a generous spirit towards his children, family and friends, was an excellent cook and loved to share his food with everyone. Pete enjoyed fun, travel and living. He will be sorely missed by those who loved him. Pete was a member of Mother of Sorrows Parish in Murrysville and formerly St. Michael's Church in Munhall. Charles W. Tragesser Sr.
of Murrysville, died Saturday, May 8, 2010. He was born in Youngstown, Ohio, a son of the late Charles B. and Velma Berkley Tragesser. After serving in the U.S. Army in Berlin, he matriculated to the University of Pittsburgh, where he graduated with a degree in electrical engineering, and then worked at Westinghouse Electric for more than 35 years. He was a member of Mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville. He was an avid golfer, car enthusiast, lover of jazz music and his happiest times were mentoring his grandchildren and spending time with his loving family. He was preceded in death by a baby boy, Michael; and a sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Hudock.
